The Boys & Girls Club of Miramichi is looking for a reliable, detail-oriented individual to join our Gold Rush Lottery team as a Casual Clerk. If you take pride in accuracy, work well with others, and enjoy a consistent routine, this could be the perfect fit — and an excellent opportunity for a retiree looking for meaningful, part-time work in the community.

ABOUT THE ROLE
As a Gold Rush Clerk, you’ll work alongside a small team of four in the Count Room, supporting the weekly 50/50 lottery draw that directly funds programs for local youth. The work is consistent, seated, and hands-on — perfect for someone who takes pride in accuracy and doing the job right.

Schedule & Hours
Monday & Tuesday evenings, 5:00 PM – 9:00 PM (year-round)
Some weeks may include a Tuesday daytime shift
Averages 7–10 hours per week across Monday and Tuesday

WHAT YOU’LL DO

• Work as part of a close-knit team of four in the Count Room
• Handle lottery materials with care and precision
• Perform accurate data entry and record keeping
• Process and organize information in a logical, methodical way
• Follow established procedures consistently to ensure every draw runs smoothly

WHAT YOU BRING

• Outstanding accuracy and attention to detail — you catch errors before they happen
• A focused, calm presence — you’re not easily distracted
• Efficient and organized work habits — you like systems and follow them
• Logical thinking — you approach tasks methodically and thoroughly
• Comfort with seated, task-based work for extended periods
• A team-first attitude — you work well alongside others in a shared space
• Availability Monday and Tuesday evenings, 5:00 PM – 9:00 PM year-round
• Basic comfort with numbers and paperwork
